Jose D. Flores, 50

Jose D. Flores, a 50-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Monday, Aug. 13, in the 1300 block of Penn Mar Avenue in South El Monte, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner?s office, said Flores was discovered at home by his family at 3:46 p.m. Authorities were called to the scene and pronounced him dead.

Flores? preliminary coroner report indicates he was shot in the head. No other information was available.
