Bard sees progress in one-inning outing

Making his first start with Triple-A Pawtucket since being sent down from the Red Sox earlier in the week, Daniel Bard allowed three runs in his one-inning start while pitching against the Indianapolis Indians Friday night at McCoy Stadium.

Bard, who finished throwing 26 pitches (16 strikes), hit two batters, gave up a pair of hits and struck out two.
