Walking around some of Houston is a big step

Peter Brown, former Houston councilman and head of Better Houston, put out an interesting, albeit occasionally rhyming, video this week urging area residents to think about pedestrian benefits. I’ll let “Pedestrian Pete” do his own explaining. Parts of Houston, to be sure, are very walkable. Both urban and suburban streets in a lot of communities are incredibly convenient for a healthy stroll or to get somewhere car-free. And the parks initiative has brought a lot of trails to the area.
